Who Bali suits, and who it does not
Choose Bali if you work remotely for a foreign employer, you want to be outside every day, and you accept that you will rent forever. At IDR 41M a month ($2,323) you get a one-bedroom villa with a pool, a cleaner, warung food, a scooter and a coworking desk. Nothing else in this series gives you a private pool at that number.
Do not choose Bali if any of the following is you.
- You want to own property.
- You are a freelancer with no employment contract.
- You cannot ride a scooter.
- You need serious healthcare close by.
- Your budget is under about US$900 a month.
The guide gives the reason behind each one, with its figures.
